6th Monthly Methane Monday Webinar, organized by MARCOGAZ, GIE and Energy Community

After the summer break, MARCOGAZ, GIE and the Energy Community Secretariat are pleased to invite you to the next Monthly Methane Monday, scheduled for 26 September 2022, 14:30-16:00 CET.
Emerging technologies for monitoring and mitigating methane emissions will be in focus, and Baker Hughes, Honeywell, Schlumberger and Project Canary have been invited to present their relevant work and experience.
As methane is second only to carbon dioxide in its impact on the climate, addressing methane emissions
in the energy sectors is critical. That is why we are glad to continue organising the Methane Mondays during the last period of 2022, taking into account that this year, methane emissions reduction in the energy sector is one of the most important issues on the political agenda in the EU.
The scope of the Methane Mondays includes the energy industry’s views on the proposed
Regulation, recommendations to reduce venting and flaring, best available technologies to reduce
emissions and best available technologies to improve compliance with reporting levels 1 to 5 within the
OGMP 2.0 framework, as well as tools to increase the transparency of methane emissions along supply
chains to the EU.
