MARCOGAZ Feedback on DG ENER Study on Hydrogen Quality in Dedicated Infrastructure and Standardisation

This document presents MARCOGAZ’s technical feedback on the DG ENER study addressing hydrogen quality specifications for dedicated infrastructure and their implications for future standardisation. As hydrogen projects move towards large-scale deployment, the paper highlights the importance of clear and harmonised technical frameworks to support cross-border interoperability and efficient system integration across Europe.

It provides key observations on infrastructure development timelines, hydrogen purity pathways, storage options and purification technologies, while also emphasising the need for a balanced, technology-neutral assessment and greater transparency in cost modelling methodologies.
