FLOENE becomes a Member in MARCOGAZ

MARCOGAZ is pleased to announce that FLOENE, the Portuguese gas distribution system operator, has joined the Association as a new Member in January 2026.

With its strong presence across Portugal, FLOENE plays a key role in the country’s gas distribution landscape, ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of gas to households and businesses. By becoming a member of MARCOGAZ, FLOENE further strengthens its engagement at European level and reinforces its commitment to contributing to the technical development of the gas sector.

Operating extensive distribution networks across multiple municipalities, FLOENE is responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of gas infrastructure, as well as for ensuring high standards of safety, service quality and innovation. The company is actively involved in the energy transition, supporting the integration of renewable gases such as biomethane and contributing to Portugal’s decarbonisation objectives.

As a member of MARCOGAZ, FLOENE will contribute its operational expertise and benefit from the Association’s collaborative technical platform covering areas such as gas quality, infrastructure safety, metering, energy efficiency, and the integration of new and renewable gases. This membership reflects a shared commitment to advancing technically sound, safe and sustainable energy solutions across Europe.
